Our new Mobile App

Our new Mobile App

Dear PlanetWatchers,

We are pleased to announce the release of the new PlanetWatch App (Android and iOS version). A preview of the App had been provided in this post. Since then, we have made some changes and added functionalities.

Let’s see all the features that you’ll be able to use via the new PlanetWatch App.

👤 SIGN UP

When starting the App, you can log in with the same credentials used in the Explorer. If you don’t have credentials, you can register in a few simple steps.

Please note: the credentials used for the PlanetWatch Explorer and all the software released by PlanetWatch are not the same as those used for the e-commerce site where purchases are made.

During registration you can enter an optional “redeem code” that allows a friend who referred you to PlanetWatch to receive some Planets every time a license is activated.

Currently, referral payments are as follows:

  • 15 Planets per Type 1 license activation,
  • 10 Planets per Type 3 license activation,
  • 5 Planets per Type 2 or 4 license activation.

🔌 SENSORS SECTION

Check your sensors

On the top part of the screen, air quality data for your area are displayed, if a PlanetWatch outdoor sensor is active in the area.

In the Sensors section you will find all your activated sensors, based on three categories:

  • Outdoor, where currently you can see your Airqino and Arianna sensors,
  • Indoor, where currently you can see your Kaiterra and AWAIR Element sensors,
  • Wearable, where currently you can see your Atmotube PRO sensor.

You can click on each sensor and get an overview of your device information (some of the fields below are only available for some types of sensors):

  • Last data: the last stream that your sensor sent to us;
  • Streams sent: the total amount of streams sent by you sensor;
  • Location: the location where you installed the sensor;
  • Local Score: the sensor reputation score in its current location;
  • Qualifying days: the total number of qualifying days since you activated the sensor;
  • Status: Lead Sensor (L) or a Backup Sensor (B)
  • Hashgrid: the pixel where your sensor is located
  • Hashgrids visited: the number of pixels where your sensor has been located
  • License expiration: the expiration date of your license
  • Total rewards: the total amount of rewards that you earned with your sensor.
  • Total score: the sum of the score of your sensor in all the visited pixels.

On the right corner of the Sensors section there is a “+” button: this is used to associate your licenses with your sensors. When you click on it, you will see all the licenses that you have purchased and their duration.

How to activate and associate licenses to your sensors

In order to activate a license, you first need to have imported at least one wallet in the Wallets Section. If your sensor is already active, you have to import the wallet associated with your sensor.

Pay attention: all wallets are stored securely in your smartphone. If you logout and login with different emails, all wallets are cleared. PlanetWatch have no access to your wallets.

Type 1, Type 2 and Atmotube PRO (Type 4) sensors: select your device, your wallet and enter location details. Clicking on the “proceed” button your sensor and license NFTs will be created.

Type 3: KAITERRA Sensedge Mini instructions

Type 4: AWAIR Element instructions

The activation process can take up to two minutes, please wait patiently without pressing any buttons on your phone.

Tip 1: If you don’t have Algos in your wallet, don’t worry. We’ll send you all the Algos you need for NFT activation. If you don’t have our PLANET initialized , we’ll send you an extra 0.1 Algo. Please note that for each license we send the Algos only to one wallet address.

Following the NFT creation we will initialize the PLANET token in your wallet. Remember to check if the PLANET token is initialized. If not, you can go in the wallet section and click on “Add PLANET asset”.

Tip 2: Pay attention to location details. We’ll check periodically your location and data sent by your device. If we find a mismatch, our system might ban your device and rewards would not be credited to your account. If you need to change the location, you can do it 1) directly on the App or 2) by clicking on “Update Location” on the MySensor section in your Explorer private area.

Why must you associate and activate the licenses to your sensors?

Effective December 2021 (the exact day will be announced) if sensor and license NFTs will not be present in your wallet and you have not completed the KYC, rewards will no longer be credited.

💸 WALLETS SECTION

In the Wallets section, you will be able to import your existing wallet or to create a new one.

By clicking on the “+” button and choosing “Create a New Account”, you will be able to choose your account name, see your passphrase and then verify them.

The App also gives you the possibility to add the PLANET asset, by clicking on the corresponding button: please note that you need to have the required amount of Algo in order to add the PLANET asset.

You can also see all the assets added in your account.

Again, pay attention: all wallets are stored in a secure way in your smartphone. If you logout and login with different emails, all wallets are cleared. PlanetWatch have not access to your wallets.

In the Collectibles section are displayed the collectible NFTs that you own.

In the Settings Section you can find your referral code to share with friends under the “My Referral Code” option.
